Local stays & easy getaways are some of my favorites!

With the seasons changing, I always start thinking about little getaways, whether it is a night away close to home or a quick weekend trip. Here are some of my favorite recommendations:

Leavenworth – about 2.5 hours by car, a charming Bavarian-style village tucked into the Cascades.

Victoria, BC – about 2 hours and 45 minutes by ferry, with walkable streets, history, and beautiful gardens.

Whidbey Island – about 1.5 hours by car and ferry, with cozy waterfront towns like Langley and Coupeville. Great views, cute shops & galleries.

Alderbrook Resort – about 2 hours by car, indoor pool, breathtaking views, relaxing atmosphere. Family-friendly & pet-friendly.

Poulsbo – about 2 hours by car across the picturesque Tacoma Narrows bridge! Charming town with Scandinavian heritage. Great day trip or overnight getaway. Highly recommend lunch on the west-facing patio (for some sunshine!) at JJ’s Fish House for the BEST fish and chips OF. YOUR. LIFE.
